Empowering Future Leaders Through Quality Education
We pride ourselves using the holistic approach to develop students academically, socially and emotionally. Students experience inquiry-based learning with real-life, hands-on workshops and lessons to enrich their understanding both in and outside of the classroom. Regular field trips and extracurricular activities are arranged to provide students with the opportunity to collaborate and connect with the community, developing their social responsibility. Additionally, We regularly promote and maintain a safe, caring and respectful environment for all.
Academics & Religion
At G.A.D. School, we provide a complete K-9 education that balances academic achievement with cultural identity and personal growth. Our programs follow British Columbia’s curriculum standards, with a focus on inquiry-based and project-based learning that encourages students to think critically, work independently, and develop leadership skills. Through STEM learning, school-wide competitions, and community outreach projects, students build the confidence and abilities they need to succeed in school and in life.
In addition to academics, students stay connected to their roots through our Sikh Religious and Cultural Education Program. From learning Sikhi values and Paath to developing fluency in the Punjabi language and performing Kirtan and Tabla, students gain a deep appreciation of their heritage. Our cultural programming also includes Bhangra, Giddha, Gatka, and other traditional arts, creating a vibrant learning experience that celebrates both academic success and cultural pride.
Arts and Athletics
At G.A.D. School, we believe education extends beyond academics to include the arts and athletics as essential parts of every student’s development. From early years through Grade 9, students explore their creativity through visual arts, music, and STEAM-based learning. Whether working with color and design in the early grades or studying cultural and Indigenous art practices in later years, students are encouraged to express themselves and make meaningful connections to their learning and community. These experiences help students build confidence, creativity, and a deeper sense of identity.
In addition to the arts, our growing athletics program promotes teamwork, leadership, and school spirit. Represented by our Falcon mascot, students learn to play with determination, focus, and resilience. Our sports teams—basketball, soccer, and volleyball—give students the opportunity to stay active, build friendships, and represent our school with pride. Together, our arts and athletics programs support the development of well-rounded learners who are prepared to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Seva & Leadership
At G.A.D. School, we proudly integrate the Sikh principles of Seva (selfless service) and leadership development into the learning experience for all students. Rooted in the belief that serving others is the highest form of worship, we provide students with meaningful opportunities to give back to the community through activities like Gurpurab langar service, food bank drives, and fundraising events including the Terry Fox Run, Walk for Wenjack, and Jump Rope for Heart.
As students progress through the grades—especially in Grade 7 and up—we offer hands-on opportunities to develop leadership and independence. Older students take on mentorship roles, lead school assemblies, and help organize community events, bake sales, and fundraisers. Through these experiences, they build essential skills in critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and social responsibility—empowering them to lead with confidence and compassion, both at school and in the wider world.
