H5 Avian Influenza Communication
Out of an abundance of caution, Fraser Health has sent public and independent schools in the region a letter about the teenager who has tested presumptively positive for avian influenza. Please see the letter attached for more information. We encourage everyone to practice the preventative measures suggested, including:
Stay up to date on all immunizations, especially the seasonal flu vaccine
Do not touch sick or dead animals
Stay home if you are sick
