Last month, in honor of Gurpurab and our Sikhi values of sharing and giving back, we collected new socks, hats and gloves for the Mamele’awt Community Indigenous Centre in Abbotsford. This was a great opportunity for our school to connect with the Indigenous community and support the ReconciliACTION for First Nations Peoples.

Ms. Arondus, Ms. Ann and Mrs. Virk were invited to the Pow Wow night at the Indigenous Centre, where they had the opportunity to engage with the Mamele’awt First Nations community to deliver the donations and be part of their monthly celebration of songs, drumming, dance and dinner. The families were very appreciative of your donations. Thank you for supporting families in need. Your contributions have made a difference!
