G.A.D. Elementary School has been given a great seva opportunity through the City of Surrey's School Park Cleanup Program. This initiative is an opportunity for students to build a sense of responsibility towards their community, gain volunteer hours, and learn the importance of giving back and taking care of the environment. On Tuesday, April 23rd, Grade 7A and 9 took responsibility to clean Frank Hurt Park and just on our first day of cleanup we collected 7 kg of garbage! The students were happy to help make a difference for families and kids who use this park. All Grade 7 to 9 students will be taking on this seva once a week.
