Applicant Requirements

Applicants must hold either a B.C. Certificate of Qualification in good standing—Professional, Basic or Conditional—or an Independent School Teaching Certificate. Applicants who do not hold one of these certificates will not be considered.

• Ability to foster and maintain a safe, positive learning environment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to collaborate with students, colleagues and parents

• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate effective classroom instruction

• Experience with student-led and inquiry-based learning

• Ability to assess student achievement using a variety of methods

• Understanding of the B.C. Performance Standards

• Ability to adapt curriculum to individual student needs

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Google Workspace and classroom technology

• Previous teaching experience is an asset; new graduates are welcome
