Today we had our 2nd Annual Walk for Wenjack which supports ReconciliACTION for First Nations peoples and the losses they suffered at the hands of Residential schools. Our students helped to raise awareness for all of the children who were taken away from their families, their culture, their language, their traditions. We walked not only for these children but for the survivors, as well as those who were lost. Reconciliation starts with acknowledgement, this is why we walk.
